There's more than EFCA to worry about in 2009. There are 7 other proposed bills aimed at changing the way you do business:

  • The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act (just passed in the House)
  • The Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA)
  • Civil Rights Act of 2008
  • Paycheck Fairness Act
  • Fair Pay Act
  • Healthy Families Act
  • FOREWARN Act

Learn how to prepare for this anti-employer legislation by participating in the all-new HR Hero audio conference, 7 Anti-Employer Laws in 2009: How to Prepare Now.

Experienced employment law attorneys will explain how each of these key pieces of legislation could impact your organization's policies and practices. In just 90 minutes, we'll cover:

  • The Civil Rights Act of 2008: Why passage of this bill could leave employers exposed to unlimited damages in Title VII or ADA cases
  • Major Title VII amendment: Overview of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, which adds sexual orientation as a protected class
  • The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act: Just passed by the House, this legislation would dramatically change the statute of limitations for pay discrimination claims -- and make it easier for employees to file claims
  • How the Paycheck Fairness Act and the Fair Pay Act could impact the Equal Pay Act and the FLSA
  • How the Healthy Families Act could dramatically change your company’s paid sick leave policies in 2009
  • How the proposed modifications to the WARN act could impact damages and enforcement provisions
  • What employers can do NOW to prepare for these major changes, including strategies for conducting HR compliance policy audits, training supervisors, and enhancing employee relations programs
  • How the new laws might affect DOL, EEOC, and NLRB enforcement goals and priorities

7 Anti-Employer Laws in 2009: How to Prepare Now is just $237.
