HR Hero Audio Conference on CD and Streaming Audio
Presented by Leslie E. Silverman and Adria B. Martinelli
September 18, 2007
With each CD purchase, you get FREE access to streaming audio. CD and streaming audio are available 3 days after each live event.
Even though the live seminar on this topic has already taken place, you can still hear it! For your convenience, we've recorded it on CD and audio stream, so you can listen when you have time or share it with colleagues in your organization.
On April 22, 2009, the EEOC released new guidance and best practices on avoiding discrimination against workers with caregiving responsibilities. These documents supplement the 2007 guidance document on unlawful disparate treatment of employees/caregivers.
Family responsibility discrimination is turning into a hotbed of expensive litigation for American employers. Pregnancy discrimination complaints with the EEOC have risen 25% in the last 10 years to a record high in 2006.
Learn how to recognize the potential for liability and take the necessary steps to prevent your organization from becoming the next defendant. Participate in the all-new HR Hero audio conference, EEOC Guidance on Working Parents and Caregivers: New Risks for Discrimination Litigation.
In the wake of the increasing number of discrimination complaints, the EEOC has issued new guidance addressing workplace bias against parents and caregivers. While parents and caregivers are not yet a protected category, the new guidelines provide examples of disparate treatment that could violate Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 or the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Register for this eye-opening event and get an insider's look at the new guidelines from EEOC Vice Chair Leslie E. Silverman and let employment-labor law attorney Adria B. Martinelli show you how to avoid costly family responsibility discrimination litigation.
Here's what you'll get in just 90 minutes:
A clear overview of the Family Rights Discrimination guidelines:
- Why the EEOC issued them
- A review of the guidance itself
