Break the management language barrier and earn your key to the C-Suite by participating in the all-new HR Hero Audio Conference:
Key Finance and Accounting Principles for HR: Demystifying the Jargon
Sarbanes Oxley, along with complicated executive pay and risk management issues have forced HR professionals to go beyond the basics of number crunching. Without a deep understanding of finance and accounting, today's HR executive lacks the ability to impact an organization's bottom line.
Discover how to address this skills deficit by participating in Key Finance and Accounting Principles for HR: Demystifying the Jargon. Your speaker, Jim Gray, has more than 25 years experience in HR, accounting, and finance. He'll guide you through an easy-to-follow overview of core finance and accounting concepts -- the language of senior management.
In just 90 minutes, you'll learn:
- The new math for HR: An overview of the critical financial and accounting skills required of today’s HR professional
- How a solid understanding of key financial concepts can improve HR’s analysis and decision-making about workers comp, compensation and benefits, payroll administration, and employer liability
- How a balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement are used to analyze a company’s performance
- A crash course on the management accounting tools CEOs use to monitor a company’s fiscal health -- including EBITDA and pro-forma earnings
- How to cut through the jargon to translate complex financial data into meaningful AND useful concepts
- Review executive compensation design strategies that don’t erode shareholder value
- Sarbanes-Oxley and HR: an understanding of how a solid foundation in accounting and finance can help HR stay compliant with the many regs contained in SOX
