Tornadoes, floods, fire, pandemics, job-related accidents, and workplace violence ... has your HR department done everything it can to prepare for the worst?

Learn what you can do NOW to prepare for the unthinkable by participating in the all-new HR Hero audio conference, Before Disaster Strikes: Crafting Your HR Crisis Plan.

Most employers already have a disaster plan in place, but are unprepared to implement emergency response procedures, according recent SHRM disaster survey. The number one reason given by survey respondents, "It can't happen here."

Think it can't happen to your organization? Think again. According to the Workplace Violence Institute, 18% percent of the nation’s violent crime occurs in the workplace. And OSHA and the U.S. Department of Justice report that between 1,700,000 to 2,000,000 incidents of violence occur in U.S. workplaces every year. Each workplace homicide cost employers between $250,000 and $1,000,000, while cases of serious injury or death involving employer negligence have led to jury awards averaging $3,000,000, according to The Brady Center.

Register today for this all-new live event, and learn how to craft an emergency response plan to ensure your organization's business continuity -- even in the wake of disaster. In just 90 minutes crisis containment specialist Michael G. McCourt will help you design and develop threat management protocols, procedures, and consequence management strategies, as well as:

  • How to make your case to the C-Suite that ensuring a safe working environment is vital to the corporate bottom line
  • Your role in managing and protecting your organization’s most important resource — your employees — during a crisis
  • Hands-on prevention planning: The steps you should take now before the crisis hits, including assessing your organization’s vulnerabilities
  • How to create an effective crisis management plan that informs employees of their duties and responsibilities in a crisis
  • Why good communication is critical to pulling employees through an emergency situation
  • How to quickly analyze the nature of an incident, so your organization take swift and
    appropriate action
  • The art of recovering from a crisis: How to craft your consequence management plan
  • What you can do to help senior management during a crisis, including how to help them continue core business operations during and after the incident
  • Why it is imperative to business survival that employers become better at managing any crisis, including natural disasters, workplace violence, job-related accidents, pandemics, and terrorism

Before Disaster Strikes: Crafting Your HR Crisis Plan is just $227.
