About Your Guest Speakers, Charles S. Plumb and Kristen L. Brightmire

Charles PlumbAs a partner at Doerner, Saunders, Daniel & Anderson, L.L.P., Charles S. Plumb has represented employers in all phases of employment law and labor relations, including collective bargaining issues, grievance arbitration, and representation before federal and state administrative law agencies.

His extensive litigation experience includes trials in state and federal courts concerning discrimination, wrongful discharge, retaliatory discharge, breach of contract, and constitutional law violations. Mr. Plumb is a member of the American Bar Association's Labor and Employment Law Section and is an editor of the Oklahoma Employment Law Letter and formerly served as staff editor for the Ohio State Law Journal.

 

Kristen BrightmireKristen L. Brightmire has substantial legal experience in the labor and employment area, exclusively representing employers in every aspect of the practice. In non-litigation matters, Ms. Brightmire has counseled numerous clients as to employee-related matters as well as drafted or reviewed policies, handbooks, employment contracts, severance programs, severance agreements, and relocation programs. She has also represented her clients at every step of the litigation process from the administrative agency through trial and appeal.

She recently named a 2007 Super Lawyer in her practice area. In addition, Ms. Brightmire frequently lectures on various employment and labor issues and is a contributing author to, and past Editor of, the Oklahoma Employment Law Letter. She has served as an Adjunct Settlement Judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma for over ten years, specializing in labor, employment, and benefits cases. Ms. Brightmire also serves as a private mediator in such matters.
