Hispanics are the largest minority group in America's workforce: 12 million, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Are you doing enough to learn about the cultural barriers faced by today's Hispanic employee?

Learn culturally aware and sensitive approaches to recruiting, managing, and retaining this vital talent pool by participating in the all-new HR Hero audio conference, Talent Management Strategies for Today’s Hispanic Workforce.

International multicultural consultant Carlos Conejo will show you the unique challenges faced by Hispanic employees and how understanding these challenges can help you more effectively recruit and retain this highly-skilled labor force.

In just 90 minutes, your speaker will cover:

  • Current psychographics of the Hispanic workforce, including attitudes toward work and authority in the workplace
  • It’s not just about the language. Your speaker will show you why understanding the culture and developing culturally-relevant recruiting techniques and procedures are crucial to your organization's success.
  • Effective cross-cultural communication strategies to assist your recruiting and management efforts -- and that can help you avoid costly national origin discrimination claims
  • The importance of "grass-roots" recruiting in the Hispanic community
  • On-the-job safety issues and English-only rules and how to keep these issues from becoming cultural barriers
  • Why newspaper and other ads are not effective recruiting techniques
  • Job shadowing and other strategies that can help Hispanic employees overcome barriers in the workplace
  • How affinity groups and mentorships can boost workplace morale and performance
  • What you need to know about "community gate-keepers" and how to open the doors of Hispanic "centers of influence" to attract talent
  • Effective ways to leverage varying formal education levels in the Hispanic community as recruitment and retention tools
  • How the "unofficial" Hispanic leaders in the workplace can assist you in your recruitment and talent management efforts

Talent Management Strategies for Today's Hispanic Workforce is just $237.
