Elise Dunitz Brennan, Anita K. Chancey and Sharolyn C. Whiting
September 17, 2008
With each CD purchase, you get FREE access to streaming audio. CD and streaming audio are available 3 days after each live event.
Even though the live seminar on this topic has already taken place, you can still hear it! For your convenience, we've recorded it on CD and audio stream, so you can listen when you have time or share it with colleagues in your organization.
Employee health care costs on average more than $9,000 per worker, according to the 2008 Towers Perrin Health Care Survey. To deal with these exorbitant costs, employers are turning to on-site medical clinics. And they're reaping the benefits...
On-site clinics can save American businesses between $1.5 and $2 million annually, according to a recent study by Watson Wyatt. Offices and factories across the country now offer on-site treatment for minor illnesses/injuries, check-ups, flu shots, monitoring of chronic illnesses, prescription drugs, and wellness programs.
Learn how you can reduce premiums and provide convenient, low-cost healthcare for your workers by participating in the all-new audio conference, Workplace Medical Clinics:
The Cure for High Insurance Costs. In just 90 minutes, you'll learn how to overcome management and legal barriers when establishing an on-site medical facility, as well as:
- The key differences between on-site medical clinics and wellness plans, including how both health care programs differ in structure
- A clear breakdown of the federal laws that you MUST comply with when offering on-site medical care, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the recently-passed Genetic Information Non-discrimination Act (GINA)
- The role that state law plays in governing on-site clinics, including state requirements regarding licensing of on-site health care practitioners, the scope of the on-site practice, and pharmacy maintenance and distribution
- Management complications that can surface when wellness plans are blended with on-site clinics
- An overview of the different structures used for establishing on-site medical clinics and the pros and cons of each
- How you can avoid the common barriers that derail on-site medical clinic programs, including addressing employee concerns about privacy and the challenges associated with creating an on-site medical clinic that can handle catastrophic claims
And there's so much more. Register today for this all-new HR Hero live event and learn how to cut benefits costs and reduce your employees' time away from work by offering easy-access, low-cost health care.
