Redesign
By now you've noticed that HRhero.com has a new look. Here are some questions you might have:
Why did you redesign HRhero.com?
To make it more attractive and easier for you to find what your looking for (once you get used to it). For example, at the top of the page you can easily find helpful links if you want to login to the Subscribers Area or the Employers Forum, search HRhero.com, or find help using the website.
Where can I find news articles?
We gathered up all of the articles in the free area of HRhero.com and compiled them under "HR News" in the menu to your left. Employment Law Letter subscribers can find a truckload more in the Subscribers Area of the website.
Where can I find HR Hero products?
Look in the menu to your left for information on products and services in the HR Hero family:
- Employment Law Newsletters — These are the flagship publications of the HR Hero product line. You'll find information for subscribers and non-subscribers alike.
- HR Tools — Here you'll find HR Hero products that aren't newsletters, such as videos and Special Reports.
- Seminars & Audio — HR and employment law seminars and audio conferences.
- Tools for... — Here we've compiled resources for people whose jobs aren't strictly HR, such as lawyers and workers' comp administrators. Some of these links lead to the website for M. Lee Smith Publishers LLC, which owns HRhero.com.
OK, I've looked around and still can't find what I'm looking for. It used to be here — where did it go?
There are several ways to find things. You can go to the top of the page and click on "Help" or "Search." Or look in our new site map, which shows you where to find just about everything on HRhero.com.
If it's a major feature or section, it's still here, somewhere. However, we remove old articles on a regular basis.
The blue menu bar that goes down the left side of the page overlaps the text that's in the white part of the page.
There are several reasons this could happen, and we're trying to track down all of them. Some of the problems may be caused by using an old version of Netscape or Internet Explorer.
Netscape users: If you use Netscape and haven't updated your software lately, you're probably having a lot of trouble reading HRhero.com and other websites. For best results, you should have the newest Netscape, which is 7.1.
Here's how to check which version of Netscape you have. At the top of the browser, click on "Help," then click on "About Communicator." It'll say something like "Netscape Communicator 4.06." If this number is less than 7, you need to get the updated software from Netscape's website.
Internet Explorer: Go to
Microsoft's website to get the latest version of Internet Explorer.
The blue menu isn't as long as it used to be. Where's the rest?
It's all there, plus some. Put your cursor over a menu item that has an arrow next to it, like "National News," and more items will appear. We've reorganized the menu in a way that we think will help you navigate HRhero.com. You'll also find some items going across the top and bottom of the page.
